Did you miss me?
Yes, I realize that it has been awhile since my last post. But honestly, there's not too much happening in the Ulbrich world right now.
Well, that's not entirely true. We had dinner with Tim and Kathryn Heimann...our friends from our days at Ohio Northern...on Saturday night and then we all went to an Akron Aeros game.
And for the past three days, we've had Rob Sherburne visiting with us from New York. So, we've been happily entertained and entertaining...but do you think I could have pulled out my camera to grab a few pictures? Yeah, that didn't happen.
So instead, I'm going to tell you something I do have a picture of. My new door mat. Totally exciting, right?
Well. I think so.
I've been wanting a new inside door rug for a long time now. But my ever practical husband suggested we use what we have. Which was fine, and we did, but it just felt like a leftover rug to me. Because it was.
So, on a recent trip to one of our new favorite stores, Lowe's, I convinced Tim to stop in the rug aisle with me and he did and put up with all my, "What do you think about this one?" or "Imagine this rug in the kitchen!" He did the obligatory, "Yes, that one is nice." or "Yeah, that could work." But when I pulled out this baby and it wasn't too pricey coming in at $19.99. We both were sold.
I love this rug and all it's fibery good looks. It it exactly the natural theme we are going for.
Ridiculous to love something so insignificant, right? But since we're saving up for bigger projects to come, I'll take whatever little home improvement dollars we can get!
