One of our mutual requests when we were look for a house was the need for a home office space. We had designated one of the bedrooms in our rented condo for an office and we really liked having a place where books, computers and other work related things could be kept.
When we moved to our house, we designated what would be considered the "living room" into an office. We figured that if we made it a true "living room" then there really wouldn't be much "living" going on there since we are more family room type people.
But the living room was right off of the front door, so unlike our last office which was just a hodgepodge of desks, chairs and book shelves, this room needed to be kept orderly since it would be one of the first rooms you see when you entered the house.
We also wanted to make this a nice grown-up office space so that if Tim decided to start his own business or work from home, he had a nice place to do that.
Remember what his office looked like before? Here, I'll refresh your memory.
This is what it looked like when we first moved in.
Here is what it looked like after we painted and put up some blinds.
And here is what it looks like now:
(See where the new favorite sleeping spot is going to be?)
Tim's beloved Buffalo poster now has a place! He has been waiting for years to hang this.
So, that's our new office furniture. I can tell Tim is going to be in here a lot.
