Our families have been incredibly generous in helping us get set-up in our new home. From painting help to lawn mowers to deck furniture to a new grill, we've been completely spoiled.
We'd like to say thanks for all of your help and thanks for a few new goodies we got over the weekend:
Mom U put together this awesome gift basket of 4th of July themed goodies. It included two bottles of wine (one white one for me and one red one for Tim), crackers for some extra sharp cheddar cheese, Chiavetta's marinade (Tim's favorite), an adorable picture frame, red and blue "Born in America" scarves for the girls, and a placemat and embroidered towels for our kitchen. Loved it! Isn't she amazing? It looks so professional!
Mike and Jackie got us a gift card to Home Depot. We have so many ideas for what to use this for! Plants! Supplies for Mike to build me a dog dish! Paint! What to choose? This will be put to good use. Thank you, Mike and Jackie!
Auntie M, Mark and Taylor in Montana got us this awesome all purpose tool. It will be so much more convenient to keep this tool in the house instead of trekking out to the garage to dig through the tool box to find a screwdriver. Love this! And when we get all sore from our hard work on home improvement projects--like the blisters we got from rolling paint or screwing together lawn chairs or putting on wheels on the grill....we have some handy dandy asprin to pop by the handful. Thanks for this thoughtful gift Montana family!
From my Grammie, she brought us a handmade bread and dipping dish all the way from Montana complete with bread, dipping oil, and seasoning. We LOVE dipping bread in oil for dinner and this dish is perfect. We no longer will have to pull out a plate and find a little dish to make this scrumptious snack. Now, we have the perfect tray.
(As you can see, we've already broken it in!)
Then, this next little gift came from my mischievous family...Mike, Jackie AND Grammie. Just in case we want to start putting knomes out in the front lawn, he can be the first in our collection. For now, he's hanging out on our fireplace mantle.
Thanks to everyone for making our new place feel like home!
