Bathing Beauty

Yesterday the weather was just gorgeous, so we took advantage of the time outside. Dora just LOVES the sun and would stay outside all day laying in it if she could...and once we get our fence done, she probably will.

Since we know Dora loves all things outside, we bought her a kiddie pool that she can cool off in when she gets hot. We got this idea from our visits to the dog park where there is a kiddie pool that Dora would go lay in after chasing other dogs.

The weather was just right for testing it out, so we filled it up and gave Dora her first chance in the pool. She walked right in with little prompting.

After a refreshing her little paws and shoving her whole face in the water, she promptly rolled all over the grass. Guess that sounds like fun when you're a dog. In my mind I was thinking, "Ew, she's going to smell after this." Tim on the other hand was thinking, "Oh, great, way to ruin my lawn."

But either way, Dora was in her doggy glory. She loves soaking up the rays.

Later that night, we decided to put our new patio furniture to use and Tim grilled up some chicken for dinner.

Food always tastes better when: 1. It's grilled. 2. It is eaten outside. 3. You're really hungry. Luckily we were all three so it was delicious!

(Dora says, "What? You weren't going to let me sit at the table with you?")

After that, we were all set for the day...this picture of Dora pretty much sums up our Sunday. Content and relaxed.
