Face Lift

One of the many projects yet to be done around our house was to do some landscaping. Since we just happen to know some people who really know landscaping, we invited them over (or begged) to help us get things in order.

So, let's introduce you to the Ulbrich Landscaping Crew:


The front of the house needed a lot of work. Like trimming and shaping bushes, edging the beds and adding lots of new plants and mulch. And oh yeah, can you please move the cable dish!?

See what I mean? It was uuuuggg-ly.

So the Tim/Tom combo got to work with their shovels doing some edging.

We made a special little trip to Lowe's to get plants and mulch. Dad U drew up a little plan for our yard and so when we arrived at Lowe's, he knew exactly what he was looking for. We took a little lunch break then and we were soon back to work.

Look at those lilies! Mom U meticulously pulled out all the dead leaves and cleaned them up. She even convinced me that they weren't so ugly afterall. Look at how nice they look!

After 5 or so hours of working, here's what our front yard looks like:

Stunning difference, huh? We're really proud of the front of our house. We look like legitimate homeowners. Bushes are trimmed, some new plants are in and everything looks clean. And did I mention that cable dish is gone?!

Ha! Thanks to Mom and Dad U for spending their Saturday outside helping us redo our front yard. We're totally in love with it! And extra thanks to Mom U for letting me steal all these pictures! :)
